         Welcome to the Lodge Luxury Suites! We are an independent luxury, boutique hotel in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with beautiful views of Portage Canal. We are focused on comfort and accessibility for our guests. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, lodging for a ski trip, are in town for an event, or just passing through, look no further than The Lodge! There are ample options for dining, small business shopping, walking / hiking / biking trails, snow activities, golf, and scenic drives in the area.

Historic Building Meets Luxury, Boutique Hotel

         The Lodge Luxury Suites was built in the historic 381 Elks Lodge.  Keeping true to the Elks' purpose to serve community and country, The Lodge offers a large area of shared space with a fireplace and the original horseshoe bar, encouraging guests to gather in a self-serving atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor common area where you can grill and take in the view or simply relax in our beautiful sauna area. ( A great Finnish tradition)

 

         While preserving the history of the building was a priority, guests will enjoy modern amenities including: 

• full kitchens

• air conditioning

• smart TVs

• air-coil adjustable sleeper sofas

• and Purple mattresses atop adjustable, inclinable massage bases.

 

          Combined with elements that uphold the original character of the building like terrazzo floors, original trim, and high ceilings, this boutique vacation rental property is a unique place and gives you a special experience. The Lodge Event Space

         The Lodge is the perfect location for wedding parties, special occasions, organizational retreats, business conferences, and family get-togethers. Each suite is permitted to invite 5 guests to enjoy our bar area if an event has not been scheduled prior to your stay.
